本属はOncidium属として取り扱われていた。低地の熱帯雨林に着生するランで、コスタリカからペルーまでに4種が分布する。偽球茎は扁平で1葉を頂生する。花茎は葉鞘の間から立ち上がり1花づつ順次開花する。
Previously the species of this genus were treated under the genus Oncidium. It is an epiphyte in topical rain forests and 4 species are found in the low land from Costa Rica to Peru. The flattened pseudo-bulb has one leaf on the top. The inflorescence erects form the crack between bulbs and sheaths and opens one flower at a time.
Anteriormente estas especies fueron incluidas en el género Oncidium. Las orqúideas son epífitas de bosques tropicales y 4 especies se encuentran en tierra baja desde Costa Rica hasta Peru. El pseudo-bulbo comprimido tiene una hoja en la cima. La inflorescencia se elevanta desde resquicio del bulbo y la vaina y abre una sola flor a la vez.
