Restrepiella属
Restrepiella属は一属一種がメキシコからコスタリカまでに分布するとされています。しかし、パナマのエルバジェ デ アントンでもしばしば見かけるランですので、分布域にパナマも含めるべきでしょう。この属は南米には認められていませんので、パナマ地峡成立以降に中米で近縁のRestrepia属などから進化して生まれたランだと考えられます。
Genus Restrepiella
Only one species of Genus Restrepiella is reported to be distributed from Mexico to Costa Rica. However, it is often seen in El Valle de Anton in Panama. Panama should be included in the distribution area. This genus is not seen in the South America, it should be evolved from some related genus like Restrepia in the Central America after the establishment of the Isthmus of Panama.

Sólo una especie de Género Restrepiella se informa que se distribuire de Mexico a Costa Rica. Sin embargo, es a menudo visto en El Valle de Antón en Panamá. Panamá debería incluirse en el área de distribución. Este género no es visto en la América del Sur, debería ser desarrollado a partir de algunos relacionados con el género como la Restrepia en la América Central después de la creación del Istmo de Panamá.
Restrepiella ophiocephala
本属唯一の種で、英名をsnake’s head restrepiellaと言う。このランは河川の周辺など湿潤な低地熱帯雨林の着生種である。
The only species in this genus. The English name is the snake’s head restrepiella. This is an epiphytic orchid in the damp lowland rainforests alongside rivers.
La única especie de este género. El nombre Inglés es la cabeza de serpiente restrepiella. Esta es una de orquídeas epífitas en los bosques tropicales húmedos de tierras bajas junto a los ríos.
